Alternatives ★ Trustmary
A Trustmary alternative with no meter on widget views
Testymo does one job: a written testimonial, collected with the permission attached, approved by you word by word, and on your site behind one script tag — at $20 a month flat, however often that widget loads. Trustmary is a feedback platform: review imports from eleven sites, NPS and CSAT surveys, analytics and lead forms, metered on monthly widget views.
- What Trustmary charges for
- Monthly widget views and monthly survey responses, with branding removal, analytics, surveys and integrations priced as separate add-ons.
- What Testymo charges for
- Nothing. Free stops at 10 submissions for the life of the workspace; Team is $20 a month flat, with no cap on submissions and no count of how often a widget loads.
01 Why people go looking for an alternative
Trustmary’s pricing has two dials, and the one that surprises people is views. Their own FAQ defines it:
Views are a metric in Trustmary that tracks how many times a widget’s code has been loaded on your website (and in turn, how many requests are made to our servers). So, basically everytime anyone visits your site and loads the widget, one view is counted towards your limit. If the limit is reached, the widget is simply hidden until the limit resets, and no reviews or information is lost.
Trustmary, “What are views?”, on their pricing page
A view is a widget load, so the meter is counting your traffic rather than your testimonials. The free Solo plan allows 200 of them a month; the entry paid plan allows 5,000. A page that carries the widget in the footer of every template spends views on visitors who never scroll to it, and a good week on a link aggregator spends a month’s allowance in an afternoon. The failure is soft — the widget hides until the meter resets, and nothing is lost — but it is your proof going quiet at the moment the traffic arrived.
The second reason is scope. Surveys, NPS, lead forms and analytics are most of what Trustmary is, and the plans price them. If what you needed was testimonials on a page, that is a lot of platform to carry.
02 What Testymo does
Four moves, and they are the whole product.
- The form collects the words, a star rating and a photo
- You share one link. The customer writes the testimonial, picks a rating and adds a photo if they want to, and that is the submission. Every testimonial in Testymo was written into your own form by the person whose name is on it.
- No meter on the display side
- The widget is a script your page loads. We do not count how often it loads, and there is no state in which an approved testimonial stops appearing because a number was reached. A traffic spike costs nothing and changes nothing.
- The permission is captured with the words
- The consent question sits inside the collection form, so the yes is stored beside the testimonial it covers instead of being reconstructed from an inbox later. The permission guide has the mechanics, and every submission waits in a review queue until you approve it word by word.
- One request, no follow-up fetch
- The script is built per request with your approved quotes already inside it — no iframe, no second call for the data, no cookie, nothing read about your visitors. What that costs a page, beside four other architectures, is measured in §06.
The price has no dials either: $20 a month, unlimited forms, widgets and submissions, six members, no branding. Nothing on that list is an add-on. The one machine-readable surface is the MCP server, on every plan including Free, so an agent can build a form, work the approval queue and switch a widget on for you.
03 What each product is built around
Trustmary is built to cover feedback end to end: collect it, measure it, analyse it, route it onward. Testymo is built around one job — a written testimonial, collected with consent, shown on your own site. Here is what Trustmary’s plans and FAQ say the platform covers.
- Review imports. Their FAQ names automated importing from Google, Facebook, G2, Capterra, TripAdvisor, Yelp, Booking.com, Airbnb, Trusted Shops, Google Play, and Trust Radius, plus spreadsheet and manual import.
- Surveys, NPS and CSAT. Measured, routed and reported, with custom surveys on the paid plans.
- Review schema for search. Trustmary lists Schema.org review markup from the entry paid plan up, for a site that wants stars in a result.
- Analytics and dashboards. Feedback analysis, review analyzer reports, and sharing them.
- CRM and workflow integrations. HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zapier, Make, Google Sheets and QuickBooks.
- Lead generation and experiments. Forms, chatbots, CTA widgets and A/B experiments, priced as add-ons.
- Distribution beyond a link. Their FAQ lists QR codes, email, SMS in Europe and email signatures.
04 The two prices, side by side
Trustmary’s page opens on annual billing, so both figures are in the table — the monthly number is what you pay before you have decided to commit, and the annual one saves 14% by their own label. The plan price is also not the finished price on the lower tiers, because several capabilities are sold beside it.
- Whitelabel — +$23 / month
- Analytics — +$70 / month
- Custom surveys — +$11 / month
- Review Connections (3) — +$11 / month
- Lead generation forms — +$35 / month
- Premium Integrations — +$118 / month
Removing Trustmary’s branding is the notable one: it is listed on the Business plan and as the Whitelabel add-on. On Testymo, branding comes off on the $20 plan and there is no add-on list at all.
At the entry end the two prices are closer than the rest of this page implies, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest: Trustmary’s Build Your Plan starts near Testymo’s flat price, and their free Solo plan needs no card. The distance opens up with traffic and with the add-on list, not on the first invoice.

Vendors change prices without notice, and the linked page is the authority, not this one: Trustmary pricing. If a figure here is out of date, tell us and it gets fixed. Testymo’s own limits in the second table are read at build time from the code that enforces them, and its price is on the pricing page.
05 Who Testymo is for
Testymo is the fit when these are true:
- The testimonials you want are ones your customers will write for you directly.
- The site they go on gets more page loads than a view allowance comfortably covers.
- You want the permission recorded at collection rather than reconstructed later.
- A survey platform is more tool than the job needs.
- One flat price is worth more to you than a dial you can tune.
Starting here is a fresh collection, not a migration. There is no importer in either direction, and a Google review is not yours to move anyway. What transfers is the practice: point a Testymo form at the next twenty customers and the first quotes arrive with consent attached, which is the state the old ones are not in.
The cheap way to decide is the Free plan: one form, one widget, ten submissions, badge showing. It answers the only question a pricing table cannot, which is whether people finish the form.
06 One thing we measured ourselves
On August 2026 we put 5 testimonial embeds on 5 identical blank pages — one per architecture, ours among them — and measured what each one cost the page: 5 runs each, cold cache, medians below. The vendors are identified by architecture rather than by name on purpose. Five runs against one configuration supports “this shape of embed costs that much”; it does not support a claim about a named company’s product on a given day, and we are not going to make one we cannot stand behind.
The result that is not flattering to us is the one worth reading first: all five shifted the page, ours included, and only the hosted iframe wall landed inside Google’s “good” layout-shift threshold of 0.1. Ours did not.
| How the embed is built | Requests | Hosts contacted | Layout shift |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hosted wall in an iframe | 73 | 8 | 0.1 |
| Script rendering a wall into a shadow root | 25 | 8 | 0.53 |
| Loader script mounting a hosted app in an iframe | 46 | 10 | 0.16 |
| Loader script that fetches its own data | 18 | 5 | 0.54 |
| Server-generated single script — ours | 7 | 1 | 0.12 |
The byte columns, the harness and every caveat are in the page-speed write-up. Each vendor ran its own published wall in its own published configuration, so the content differs between rows — that is why media bytes are not in this table and are not the argument. Measure whatever you end up embedding rather than trusting the category.
07 Where to go next
Whichever tool you land on, the quotes still have to be worth reading. How to ask has the timing and the scripts, the question bank maps which answer becomes the quote, and getting permission first covers the part most sites skip. The pricing page is the full version of the second table above, and the integration guides cover where the embed goes in fourteen site builders.
