Terms of Service

Updated 12 August 2026 Privacy Policy →

The short version

You own everything you and your customers put into Testymo. Keep the testimonials real and honor what respondents agreed to. Billing runs through Stripe and you can cancel anytime. The service comes as-is, and our liability is capped at what you've paid us in the last year.

01 What Testymo is

Testymo collects testimonials through forms you send out, lets you approve every word, and shows the result on your site through an embeddable widget. There's a Free plan with limits and a paid Team plan that lifts them; the current numbers are on the front page. These terms apply from the moment you create an account until you no longer have one.

02 Your account

You need a real email address — we verify it before your first sign-in. Keep your password to yourself: what happens through your account is on you, until you tell us it's been compromised. If you create an organization and invite members, they see that organization's forms and submissions according to the role you give them, and the owner role controls everything, including deletion.

You must be at least 16, and Testymo is built for business use — sign up for your work, not as a consumer. If consumer law still applies to you despite that, nothing on this page takes away rights it says you can't give up.

03 Your content

What goes through your forms is yours: the forms you build, and the testimonials your customers write — which they own, and you collect permission to use (§04). We take only the license we need to run the product: storing, processing and backing up your content, and rendering it wherever you choose to embed your widgets. That license ends when the content is deleted.

We don't sell your content, we don't use your customers' testimonials to advertise Testymo without asking you first, and we don't train AI models on them.

When your forms collect personal data from respondents, you're the controller and we're your processor under Art. 28 GDPR — and this paragraph is the data-processing agreement, so there's no separate document to chase or countersign. We process submissions only to run the product for you, on your instructions; we keep them confidential and secure as the Privacy Policy describes; we use only the sub-processors it names; we help you answer data-subject requests; we tell you without undue delay if a breach touches your respondents' data; and deleting a form or your organization deletes the data (§07). Anything else a controller must ask a processor: [email protected].

04 Keep it honest

Testymo exists to show real proof, so this clause is not boilerplate. Don't publish fabricated testimonials, and don't edit a real one into saying something its author didn't. Your forms can ask each respondent how their words may be used; the answer is stored with the submission and shown to you — honor it. A testimonial marked for private use must never appear in a public widget.

Faked or misrepresented endorsements are illegal in most markets, and they are grounds for immediate suspension or closure of an account.

05 Acceptable use

Nothing illegal, no phishing or impersonation through forms, no collecting data you're not allowed to collect, no attacking the service or other people's data, no reselling access. We may remove content or suspend an account over any of these, and we'll tell you what happened unless the law forbids it.

If a testimonial published through Testymo is about you and it's fake, defamatory, or uses something you own, email [email protected] with a link to where it appears and what's wrong. Every report gets reviewed; content that breaks §04 or this section comes down, and you'll hear what we did.

06 Billing

The Team plan is a subscription billed through Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record: the charge on your statement comes from Stripe, Stripe issues the invoice and handles sales tax or VAT, and your card details go to Stripe directly — they never touch our servers. The purchase itself is your contract with Stripe, on Stripe's terms; everything else on this page is between you and us.

Cancel whenever you like; the plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. We don't prorate partial months, but if a charge is our mistake, write to [email protected] and we'll refund it. Downgrading deletes nothing: everything you've already made keeps working, you just can't create past the Free limits — and if you're over the Free plan's submission cap, your forms pause until you're back under it or upgrade again.

07 Leaving, and being asked to leave

You can delete an organization from the app (owner only, and a Team subscription has to end first). That deletes its forms, submissions, uploads and widgets, and any embeds stop rendering. To delete your account itself, email [email protected].

On our side, we can suspend or terminate accounts that break §04 or §05, or whose payments repeatedly fail — with notice and a chance to fix it, except for genuine abuse. Either way, your data is yours to take: ask before the account closes and we'll export it.

08 No warranty, capped liability

Testymo is provided as-is, with no promised uptime. We run it carefully, but keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

If something still goes wrong, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (on the Free plan, that's zero), and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data. None of this caps what Polish law says can't be capped — harm we cause deliberately, for one. And the cap has a mirror: if your content or your use of Testymo gets us sued — a faked testimonial, data you had no right to collect — that cost sits with you, not us.

09 Changes to these terms

We'll change these terms when the product or the law changes. The date at the top always names the current version, and minor changes happen without fanfare. For a change that meaningfully affects your rights you'll get an email or a clear notice in the app before it takes effect. Using Testymo after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't accept a change, cancel before it takes effect (§07). And if Testymo ever shuts down for good, you'll get at least 30 days' notice and your data stays there to take with you until the end.

10 Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law, and Polish courts have jurisdiction — unless you're somehow using Testymo as a consumer despite §02, in which case your own country's courts and mandatory protections apply, as the law provides. The "we" on this page is Anton Bakinouski, based in Poland — the same operator the Privacy Policy names. Before anything formal, email [email protected] — nearly everything is fixable in one reply.
