# Testimonial image generator

A good quote is worth posting, and a screenshot of an email is not. Paste the words, pick a look and a size, and download a PNG — drawn in your browser, with no watermark on it and no upload of anyone's words to anywhere.

- **What it costs** — Nothing. No account, no email, no watermark, no limit on how often you use it.
- **Where your text goes** — Nowhere. The whole tool runs in your browser — nothing you type is sent, stored, or seen by us. The page-view measurement this site carries counts the visit, never the text.

Your image — exactly what downloads

The alt text button copies a plain-language description of the card. Paste it into the alt-text field wherever you post — an image of a quote is invisible to anyone using a screen reader, and to every search engine, until you do.

## 01 Four sizes, and where each one goes

- **Square — 1080 × 1080.** Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
- **Portrait — 1080 × 1350.** The Instagram feed's tallest crop.
- **Wide — 1200 × 630.** X and LinkedIn link cards.
- **Story — 1080 × 1920.** Stories, Reels, TikTok covers.

Square is the safe default if you are posting the same card in three places. Wide is the one people get wrong: it is the link-card ratio, so it is what you want when the image sits beside a headline rather than standing alone — and it is the same 1200 × 630 an `og:image` wants, if you are putting the quote on a page of your own.

## 02 What makes a quote worth posting

Cut to the sentence that carries a result. Most testimonials arrive with a warm opening and a specific middle; the middle is the post. “Our response time had halved” is a card. “Great to work with” is a card nobody stops scrolling for, at any size and in any look.

Trim, do not rewrite. Cutting an opening line is fair; tightening someone’s grammar into a claim they did not make is not, and it is the thing that makes a whole feed of praise read as invented — the same failure as [letting an AI write the testimonial](https://testymo.com/blog/ai-written-testimonials), arrived at one small edit at a time. [Why testimonials look fake](https://testymo.com/blog/testimonials-look-fake) is the longer version of that argument, and [how long a testimonial should be](https://testymo.com/blog/how-long-should-a-testimonial-be) covers where to cut.

One thing an image cannot do: prove itself. A card is a picture of words, so it carries no link, no name your reader can check, and nothing a search engine can read. Post the card *and* keep the quote in text on your own site — [the HTML generator](https://testymo.com/free/testimonial-html-generator) emits that half, and [where to put testimonials](https://testymo.com/blog/where-to-put-testimonials) covers which page it belongs on. The feed half — the permission, the formats, carousels and captions — is worked through in [how to use testimonials on social media](https://testymo.com/blog/how-to-use-testimonials-on-social-media).

## 03 Before you post someone's words as a picture

Publishing a testimonial as an image is still publishing it. The permission you need is the same one a page on your site needs: their words, their name, and their yes — and a yes for your website is not automatically a yes for your Instagram, which is a distinction worth one sentence in the ask. [Permission to use testimonials](https://testymo.com/blog/permission-to-use-testimonials) covers what to keep on file. Inside [Testymo](https://testymo.com/) that record is stored with the submission — and the app’s Post Studio works from it: the picker offers only responses that are approved with a public yes, the excerpt is cut by clicking words on the card itself, and the download is this same kind of PNG with the caption and alt text alongside — [twelve layouts, sixteen palettes](https://testymo.com/testimonial-post-templates), the four sizes above, one post or a whole carousel. The difference from this page is memory: the studio knows who said yes.

## 04 Questions this page gets

- **Is the image uploaded anywhere?** — No. The card is drawn on a canvas in your browser and saved straight to your downloads folder. The quote, the name and the picture never leave the page — there is no server on this tool to send them to.
- **Is there a watermark?** — No, and there will not be one. The image is yours; put it wherever you like, with no credit to us.
- **Can I use my own brand colors?** — Not on this tool — the five looks are fixed, which is what keeps it one click rather than a design app. If you want the colors exactly right, the [HTML generator](https://testymo.com/free/testimonial-html-generator) exposes the accent, the card background and the corner radius, a [Testymo widget](https://testymo.com/examples) carries your styling on the live site, and Testymo’s Post Studio draws the same card in sixteen palettes from your collected responses.
- **Why does the quote shrink when I paste a long one?** — So it fits without cropping. Past roughly forty words the type gets small enough to lose people in a feed — that is the tool telling you to cut, not a bug.
